The Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) tribunal set up to investigate
the alleged incompetence of the City Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago will
release its report by the end of this month. This development was
revealed by the Minister in Charge of Kampala Hon. Frank Tumwebaze.
The tribunal was constituted after 17 KKCA councilors’ petitioned the minister accusing the Lord Mayor of misconduct abuse of office and incompetence. The tribunal headed by High Court Judge Catherine Bamugemereire concluded its hearings last month and will decide whether Lukwago should lose his seat as Lord Mayor if found guilty of the allegations.
